In October as part of CINÉ/FEEL, the Alliance Française presents Alceste à bicyclette (Cycling with Molière), a film by Philippe Le Guay (Les Femmes du 6e étage). This fresh comedy is exposing the trials of a friendship washed out by pettiness and compromises, bathed in Molière’s graciousness.

SYNOPSIS : A TV heartthrob embarks on a journey with a clear mission in mind: to convince his old friend and once great actor to return to the stage in the lead of Molière’s The Misanthrope. But, for three years, this friend has lived in solitude, avoiding the pressures of the limelight. Can he be coaxed out of retirement or will his misanthropic ways get the better of him?
