Les Jeudis Cinéma de l’alliance now become CINÉ/FEEL ! For this season’s opening, the Alliance Française is pleased to present Xavier Giannoli’s French comedy SUPERSTAR. Selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the Venice Festival in 2012, SUPERSTAR is a different kind of movie that won’t leave you cold !
We cordially invite you to be our guest for this private screening on Thursday, September 26th, 2013 at 7PM, at Alliance Française du Manitoba.
STORYLINE: Freely inspired from Serge Joncourt’s novel L’Idole, the movie depicts the ordeal of a commoner who unwillingly finds himself propelled to stardom overnight. Starring Kad Merrad as this ill-fated character facing celebrity, the movie conveys an analysis of the silent dominance the media exert on our culture. SUPERSTAR is also starring the remarkable Cécile De France.
