French-speaking Film Fair

French-language Film Fair
VHS format

As part of its policy of promoting and disseminating French-language culture, the Alliance Française resource center is focused on a very specific niche: feature film and documentary cinema of French-language origin.

Cinema being a method of communication and sharing, the Alliance Française invites you to an opportunity to expand your film collection - a VHS film fair which will make available to all a selection of French-speaking cinema titles.

Nearly a hundred films will be available - histories, animation, comedies, traditional, police, dramas, documentary - the majority in French, with English subtitles.

Drop by and partake of our audio-visual collection, containing more than 600 fiction and documentary films in DVD format - the majority with English subtitles - and teaching booklets produced and distributed by the Paris-based National center of Cinematography.

You can also take the opportunity to peruse the rest of our resource center, which has approximately 3,000 documents: novels, dictionaries and encyclopedias, comics, music CDs, French-as-a- second language training material…
