This movie was shot in the Acadian heartland and in Montreal by Ginette Pellerin.
This unique film is a portrait of the Acadian writer who became famous through her performances as La Sagouine, and who subsequently achieved international acclaim when she was awarded the Prix Goncourt in 1979.

Winner of the Jutra 2009 for best animated short, it is the first film by Jean-François Lévesque, a promising young Quebec animator
