The Alliance Française du Manitoba, in partnership with the festival Cinémantal and the Consulat Général de France à Toronto, presents the movie « Of Gods and Men » by Xavier Beauvois, Grand Prize at the Cannes festival in 2010.

Eight French Christian Monks live in a monastery at the top of a mountain in Maghreb. Life is peaceful amongst the Muslim villagers. But when visiting strangers are killed in the region, terror spreads. The army quickly offers the monks protection but they refuse any help despite the severity of the threats.
