Ely and Lila considered themselves as sisters. They have known each other since childhood, share everything and dream of another life. They are living in the same suburb, ten minutes from Paris.
Today, Ely and Lila desire to live the lives they see around them and not the one they have. From small mix-ups to big lies, they will try everything to enter a world that is not theirs and where everything seems possible.
This bubbly movie received several awards : Jury’s Special Prize for the 2010 Festival International du film de comédie de l’Alpe d’Huez ; Best first film for Géraldine Nakache and Hervé Mimran at the 2011 Étoiles d’or. Leïla Bekhti also received the 2011 Most promising actress Cesar for her role in Tout ce qui brille.
The movie will be followed by a discussion about the people from the suburbs of Paris and their Parisian dreams.
